53. SEARCHING FOR YOUR PURPOSE
Are you confused by the abundance of internships, and job options? You are not alone. While it may seem difficult to find your purpose, college is the ideal moment to start this fascinating path of self-discovery.

Begin by doing a thorough exploration. Attend a range of events, join a variety of clubs, and enrol in a variety of classes. Introduce yourself to novel concepts, individuals, and situations. You will often find your purpose in unexpected places, so keep an open, curious mind. Keep an eye out for the things that thrill you, the issues that you feel driven to tackle, and the pursuits that pass quickly.
Regularly reflect. To keep track of your ideas, passions, and ideals, keep a notebook. What subjects cause you to become distracted? Which global topics arouse your passion? What you love, what you are good at, and what the world needs, come together to form your purpose.
Don’t be scared to try new things. Volunteering, part-time employment, and internships can all offer insightful perspectives into various professions and career paths. Even if you learn something you don’t like, that is still useful knowledge for you. Remember that discovering your purpose is a process rather than a single lightbulb moment.
Seek advice, yet have self-confidence. Speak with career advisors, and experts in areas of interest. Although their advice can be very helpful, your goal is ultimately personal. While taking advise, pay attention to your own desires and gut feelings. Remember that your purpose can change as you mature and is not fixed in stone. Finding a path that appeals to you and feels genuine and important, is the aim. Thus, accept the path, practise self-compassion, and never stop learning.
