21. Impacting Society Positively

Are there ways and means of impacting society? Is it only about money? What if you’re not rich? Could you spend other currencies? Could it be goodwill? Could it be knowledge? Could it be wisdom? Could it be experience? Could it be your exposure? Could it be empathy? Whatever be it, as long as we’re individually and collectively adding our drops, we’ll get our ocean sooner or later.
22. Internet
Is it important? How do you use it? Do you use it for entertainment? Do you use it for education? Do you use it for information? Do you use it for inspiration? Do you use it for business? Do you use it to show off? Do you use it for communication? How do you use it? Does your use, benefit you in the long or short term? Or does it not benefit you at all? Give some thought on your usage and optimise the opportunities it presents.

23. Is There Any Benefit in Being Organised?
In this ever-changing world with so much to learn and relearn; with so much to juggle; with high threats of mental illness; with the ever-competitive rat race.
The need to be organised cannot be overemphasised. There are many tools to help you become organised; some are digital while others are physical. By being organised you may achieve more, with less effort.
Please visit jacksempowerment.com and search for “becoming organised.”
24. Japa
Is it a bed of roses? Have you thoroughly researched it? Do you pray to japa (leave the country) by all means? Or do you pray for direction to where your blessings are? Either in Nijaa (Nigeria) or elsewhere. As Nijaas are emigrating from Nijaa, Chinese, etc are immigrating to Nijaa. Does that give Food for Thought? Does it mean that there’s still potential in Nijaa? Do we need to put on our thinking hats, and explore how ourselves and others could benefit? Is the answer somewhere, literally blowing in the wind?
Or must it be to japa, either now or never!?
Remember, there’s no perfect society; they all have strengths and weaknesses. It’s for us to optimise the strengths offered and minimise the weaknesses.
25. My Japa Experience
Here’s some of my japa experience: It’s been a lot of hard work and definitely not a bed of roses. There are opportunities and there are lots of learning opportunities. Some of it could be exported. The £ (pound sterling) mindset, is overrated. As they give you £1, they have ways of recycling it back to the system. The society is very organised. Somethings which you could accomplish in a day in the United Kingdom may take weeks or months to accomplish in Nijaa.
It’s my intention to share best practices via my content, and via mentoring and coaching.
Like most countries, it has its pros and cons. My advice is that you carry out due diligence before you japa; to avoid jumping from the frying pan into fire.
If it suits you, it’s all well and good; and if it doesn’t, you could explore other options. And by the way, if you must japa, you have a choice of countries.
26. Knowledge
Do you remember the biblical quote? “Seek, and ye shall find.” There is great power in knowledge and awareness. Knowledge could be sought in the classroom; it could be sought in books, it could be sought on tv, and could be sought digitally.
You have the opportunity of learning and earning. You also have the opportunity of sharing your knowledge. It could benefit people far and wide and you could monetise by leveraging the internet.
27. Legacy
When you reflect on your life, what has been your purpose? Is it to make money and enjoy life? Is it to oppress the downtrodden? Is it to make positive impact and leave a lasting legacy?
As you contemplate your thoughts, consider the longevity of your legacy. Will you be remembered for good? Will you be remembered at all? Will there be prayers at the mention of your name? Will your loved ones benefit from your legacy? Will the mention of your name bring ill-feelings? Will the return on investment on all you’ve amassed be worth anything in the grave? Let’s give this some Food for Thought, and build a lasting legacy.
28. Leverage
We could leverage technology, the internet, social media and digital tools. We could leverage our network and Nigerians around the world. We could leverage our intellect, experience, and exposure. We could leverage diversity as well as commonality. We could leverage adversity as fuel for prosperity. We could leverage our numbers; the so many Nigerians. We could leverage West-Africa as well as Africa. We could also research migrants into Nigeria. As we continue our japa pursuits, may be to learn one or two things on how to monetise our resources?
29. Leveraging Opportunities in Nigeria
If you ask about opportunities in Nigeria, the pessimist will give a thousand and one reasons why it can’t work, but the optimist will listen, research intentionally, seek opportunities, and act. He shall be aware of the challenges and carry out due diligence. He shall have a positive mindset and seek counsel as necessary. Where there are road blocks, he shall have adequate strategies. When he succeeds, he shall give charity as well as mentor others.
As food for thought: as some continually complain about Nigeria, some others are monetising. Could it be a good idea to learn from them, or from other entrepreneurs? There are loads of content on the internet which you could access for free. I believe that most millionaires are made in times of adversity because they create solutions to societal problems. And thereafter walk straight to bank with different monetary currencies.
30. Leveraging External Best Practices
We have diplomats who work in different countries; as well as foreign students who study in different countries. We have Nigerians who emigrate to other countries and those who travel regularly.
Is it possible to put systems and structures in place, where we could articulate and leverage best practices from other countries? Could this process be intentional, as well as result driven? The information should be collected and harnessed into positive change, that will better the prospects for both you and I.
You may also wish to include ...and pitfalls to avoid.
Thank you very much for your time.
