3. IMPORTANCE OF EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The overall growth of undergraduate students is greatly aided by extracurricular activities, which provide advantages that go well beyond the classroom. Through these activities, students can explore hobbies, pick up new abilities, and get real-world experience in areas that might not be taught in the classroom.
Participating in extracurricular activities helps build soft skills, which is one of its main advantages. Students who participate in sports teams, or voluntary organisations are able to improve their communication, leadership, and teamworking skills. These abilities can provide students with a competitive edge in their future job aspirations, as they are highly regarded in both academic and professional settings.
Participating in extracurricular activities is a crucial way to express oneself and relieve stress. Engaging in artistic endeavours, athletics, or voluntary work are examples of extracurricular activities that counterbalance the demands of schooling while also enhancing mental and general wellbeing. They give students the chance to forge stronger identities, gain self-confidence, and find new passions.
In addition, people who participate in extracurricular activities develop their social skills and expand their circle of friends and mentors. These connections may be very beneficial in the future as well as a source of inspiration and encouragement.
