9. OPTIMISING HOLIDAYS
Students can use the time-off, to rest, think, and get ready for new challenges in the classroom. However, maximising these breaks requires finding the ideal mix between productivity and rest.
During the holidays, it is important to prioritise rest and recovery. It is critical that you give yourself time to unwind, and partake in enjoyable activities following extensive study sessions. This can include getting more sleep, hanging out with loved ones, or engaging in interests that were put on the back burner during hectic exam seasons. Resting well is important for maintaining mental health and can boost concentration and productivity when school resumes.
Additionally, holidays offer a great time for introspection and preparation. During this period, students can reflect on their academic achievement, pinpoint areas that need work, and make plans for the next term. When school restarts, these days of self-evaluation may result in more targeted and efficient study techniques.
While relaxation is vital, vacation time can also be utilised for professional and personal growth. In order to further your academic or professional goals, you can think about attending online certified programs, short courses, or internships. Engaging in leisurely reading, picking up a new skill, or volunteering can all be worthwhile pursuits during these times.
