 103. BENEFITS OF A GOOD NIGHT’S REST

The hectic university setting frequently turns sleep into a luxury rather than a need. But realising how important good sleep is for both academic performance and general health could completely change your college experience. Sleep is important for learning and memory retention, which is especially important during exam times, since it allows your brain to assimilate and organise information.

Healthy You And I

Lack of sleep has an impact on your immune system, emotional control, and decision-making skills in addition to your level of awareness. Have you observed that when you do not get enough sleep, you are more prone to skip courses, eat poorly, or feel overburdened by everyday stress? It is not a coincidence. Your academic and personal goals may be derailed by the cascading effects of sleep deprivation.

Jack’s Empowerment

With different class timings and academic demands, it may seem difficult to establish a regular sleep routine, but it is worth the effort. Establish a nighttime routine to help you get the 7–9 hours of sleep you need each night. This could entail establishing a “technology curfew,” abstaining from coffee in the evening, and furnishing a cosy sleeping space. Your body has a biological clock, and regular sleep schedules help you make the most of these cycles.

What are your thoughts?

Keep in mind that both the amount and quality of your sleep are crucial. While quick (20–30 minute) power naps during the day can aid in regaining alertness, they should not be used in place of adequate sleep at night. Making sleep a priority not only helps you perform better in school but also invests in your long-term health, and positions you for success in all facets of your life.

Thank you very much for your time.
