71. PRIORITISATION

Setting priorities is not just a skill; it is your lifeline in the chaos of college life. Assignments, part-time jobs, and extracurricular activities can make you feel like a juggler attempting to balance too many balls. The key is to do the right things at the right time, not to do everything.

Time Management Tips - 1 Minute

Sort your jobs into the following categories: “urgent and important,” “important but not urgent,” “urgent but not important,” and “neither urgent nor important.” Make everyday decisions based on this matrix. Although creating content may seem more essential than studying for next week’s exam, the latter is typically more important for your long-term success.

Time Management Tips?

Think about employing time-blocking strategies: set aside particular hours for particular chores and vigorously guard these time slots. Your most difficult work or activity should be done during your most productive hours. Plan leisure activities and breaks as well. These are crucial parts of a sustainable routine, not extras.

Becoming Organised?

Develop the ability to say “no” to obligations that conflict with your goals or your to-do list. Saying “yes” to one thing means saying “no” to another. Make the most of these decisions. Use your time and energy carefully because they are limited resources.

Lastly, every week, examine and modify your priorities. Sunday nights are ideal for organising the upcoming week. Celebrate your accomplishments while evaluating what needs to change in a practical manner. Effective prioritisation is a lifelong skill that will help you stand out in your future profession in addition to helping you in college.
