Learning effectiveness, rather than the amount of time spent studying, is often what separates those who struggle, from those who succeed. While spending less time studying, you can significantly increase your academic performance by understanding and putting smart learning principles into practice.

First, determine your ideal learning environment. When do you feel most energetic? Where is the ideal place for you to focus? Which study techniques suit your preferred manner of learning? Utilise this self-awareness to design the perfect study space and timetable. Keep in mind that personalisation is essential because what works for others may not work for you.

Use learning strategies such as the Feynman approach, spaced repetition, and active recall. Test your knowledge of the topic by actively, rather than passively, reviewing your notes. Avoid cramming and instead space out your study periods. To find out where you are lacking in knowledge, explain ideas to others. These techniques optimise the way your brain absorbs and remembers information.

Habits To Make You Smarter?

Make good use of technology to improve your education. Utilise apps for organisation, time management, and flashcards. Lectures should be recorded for future study. Make mind maps to help you visualise difficult ideas. However, keep in mind that technology should enhance your learning process rather than interfere with it.
