82. OPTIMISING YOUR WEEKEND
College weekends offer chances for growth and balance, in addition to recuperation. Although it may be tempting to spend the weekends only unwinding or making up lost sleep, making the most of these valuable forty-eight hours can completely change your college experience.
Be reasonable and begin by setting aside particular weekend hours for academic catch-up. Allocate four to six hours for studying, ideally at periods when you are most attentive. Make use of this time to go over the topics from the previous week, finish up tasks, or work on difficult projects that call for undivided attention. It is usually more effective to divide these study hours into smaller, more manageable portions over Saturday and Sunday rather than cramming them into long periods.
Maintaining balance is important too. Engage in rejuvenating activities. Sports, pastimes, and social interactions are all important for mental health and personal growth, in addition to being enjoyable. Think about participating in voluntary work, weekend workshops, or skill-building events that suit your interests. These encounters frequently result in worthwhile relationships and possibilities outside of the classroom.
Submission, Gratitude, Faith and Hope
Make the most of your weekends to keep your body and mind healthy. Make up lost sleep, but make an effort to keep a regular sleep schedule. Spend time outside, get active, and prepare healthy meals for the coming week. These exercises help in recharging your body and mind for the following week.
Friday evenings are a good time to plan your weekends, but be flexible. While allowing for spontaneity and social possibilities, make a broad outline of your goals. Keep in mind that productive and spontaneous weekends can occasionally be the most enjoyable. The aim is to begin each new week with a sense of accomplishment and renewal rather than exhaustion or regret.
And of course, create time for reflection and mindfulness. Reflect on life, on people, on experiences, on your journey, etc; and express gratitude regularly, for your blessings, whether big or small.
