122. IS THERE A WAY WHERE THERE IS A WILL?
Your tenacity and resolve frequently determine whether you give up or come up with innovative solutions as you deal with a variety of obstacles; such as challenging coursework, budgetary limitations, or juggling employment and school. This idea is a useful strategy for conquering challenges that apparently seem insurmountable; it is not merely inspirational rhetoric.
Think about the success tales of those who overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Many had personal struggles, inadequate income, or language obstacles when they first entered college. Their unwavering desire to find alternate avenues, when traditional ones were barred was what distinguished them, not their exceptional aptitude or good fortune. They looked for part-time jobs, scholarships, or innovative funding options when faced with financial limitations. When faced with challenging material, they established study groups, looked for coaching, or created creative learning methods.
In this case, the “will” refers to supporting that desire with constant activity and flexibility rather than only wanting something. It entails asking for assistance when necessary, staying focused on your goals even when progress appears to be sluggish, and being prepared to modify your strategy when first attempts fail. There will be many chances during your college years to put this will to the test and enhance it, whether it be through job preparation, personal development, or academic obstacles.
The secret is to mix adaptability, smart thinking, desired purpose and determination. When difficulties emerge, divide them into more manageable, smaller tasks. Consult peers, mentors, and instructors who have dealt with comparable circumstances, for guidance. Keep in mind that finding a solution does not always include taking the traditional route; occasionally, it calls for ingenuity, originality, and the guts to attempt unconventional things.
