More than just a summary of your accomplishments and experiences, your curriculum vitae (CV) serves as your personal marketing tool and frequently your first chance to impress prospective employers or graduate programs. Knowing how to convey your experiences in a way that show your target audience your worth and potential is just as important as knowing what to include in your CV.
Early in your academic career, begin creating your resume, and as you acquire new knowledge and abilities, update it frequently. Your academic accomplishments should be mentioned, but don’t stop there. Keep records of your leadership positions, research projects, internships, voluntary work, and participation in student organisations. Every encounter should be explained in terms of your duties as well as your accomplishments. To demonstrate your abilities and the significance of your efforts, use action verbs and concrete examples.
Take note of the presentation as well as the content. Your resume should be easy to read, consistent in formatting, and well-organised. Make use of excellent fonts, adequate spacing, and clear headings. Customise your resume for various positions by highlighting pertinent experiences and abilities.
