163. DO YOU REFLECT ON THE LESS FORTUNATE?
It is easy to concentrate on your goals and difficulties in the busy setting of a university, forgetting that many others endure considerably more difficult circumstances. You may increase your empathy, widen your perspective, and be motivated to change the world by thinking about those who are less fortunate.
You develop a fresh respect for the chances you have when you think about the lives of those who are less fortunate. Millions of people worldwide lack the comforts of secure housing, dependable resources, and access to education. Understanding this can inspire you to make the most of your university years, not only for your own achievements, but also to make a significant contribution to society.
Submission, Gratitude, Faith and Hope
Thinking about the less fortunate is about action and thankfulness, not about guilt. Volunteering with neighbourhood organisations or taking part in charitable endeavours, for example, might provide you with personal knowledge of the difficulties that other people encounter. Stereotypes are frequently challenged by this exposure, which also serves as a reminder of the humanity and resilience of people who endure hardship.
Your job goals can also be shaped by these kinds of reflections. Whether you are pursuing a degree in engineering, medicine, law, or the arts, considering how your abilities may help underserved populations can give your studies more depth and meaning. Imagine making art that elevates voices that are not heard, fighting for marginalised communities, or building affordable homes.
In the end, considering the less fortunate fosters compassion and humility. It serves as a reminder that having an education involves having a duty to help others. By maintaining this viewpoint, you can match your goals with deeds that significantly impact the lives of other. And in so-doing, attract lots of blessings directly or indirectly.
