182. DOES YOUR MODE OF DRESSING ATTRACT DESIRABLE COMPANY?
To a great extent, the tag that you acquire in your university, as professional or social courtesy, greatly depends on how you dress. Although performing well academically should remain a priority, your dressing does communicate something about your understanding of professionalism and self-awareness. The ability to dress right and moderately according to the particular setting, enables one to establish good relations with people as well as creates chances for advancement.
Image of the person does not mean only a suit; it is being in context in any setting which university life provides, including some of the fun events. It may be that in the lecture the apparel is smart casual but, in the presentation, networking, or other functions, such as industry or professional gatherings; more formal apparel may be expected. Being able to voraciously switch between these styles demonstrates social skills that will be necessary in the world of work.
