241. WILL YOU RATHER AVOID PROBLEMS OR SOLVE THEM?
As an undergraduate, you will face numerous challenges in your academic career, interpersonal connections, and personal development. Life is full with obstacles. Avoiding these problems just delays the trouble, despite the common belief that doing so makes life simpler. You get stronger and more capable as you confront problems head-on.
One important ability that distinguishes successful people is problem-solving. Leaders and employers prefer those who solve problems rather than those who avoid them. You will become more resilient and self-assured if you adopt a mindset that views setbacks as teaching moments. A difficulty solved today becomes a lesson that gets you ready for challenges in the future, but a problem avoided today might get bigger tomorrow. Every obstacle you conquer broadens your experience and strengthens your ability to withstand life’s unforeseen events.
You will gain academic and personal benefits as a student, if you approach problem-solving actively. Ask your lecturers, tutors, or study groups for assistance if you are having trouble in a particular course. Find part-time jobs that fit your schedule; apply for grants, or look into scholarship opportunities if you’re having financial troubles. Instead of waiting for issues to go away, the important thing is to act. It is simple to put off problems in the hope that they would go away on their own; but this rarely happens. Rather, deal with them as soon as possible, to avoid them worsening.
