25. IS YOUR ENVIRONMENT INSPIRING YOU OR SLOWING YOU DOWN? Becoming Organised - Jack’s Empowerment and Inspiration - Jack Lookman

 25. IS YOUR ENVIRONMENT INSPIRING YOU OR SLOWING YOU DOWN?

You may be surprised to learn how much your environment affects your attitude, mindset, productivity and output.  An environment that is disorganised and messy can sap your energy and make even easy chores seem impossible.  Conversely, a well-organised and motivating environment can increase drive, innovation, and productivity.  Many people find it difficult to maintain organisation, because their surroundings hinder, rather than help them to succeed.  It might be time to look more closely at your environment if you frequently feel trapped, uninspired, or distracted.

Decluttering and organising are the first steps in making a space that inspires.  A disorganised workspace, office, or house can be mentally taxing.  Clutter makes it difficult to concentrate, and vies for your attention.  Start by getting rid of things you don’t need, organising what you do need, and setting aside specific areas for each item.  Distractions are lessened and it is simpler to focus on your goals in a neat and orderly setting.

In addition to being well-organised, your space should represent your goals and character.  Be in the company of things that inspire and encourage you.  These could incorporate motivational sayings, a vision board, strategically placed lighting, or even little adjustments like the addition of plants or soothing hues.  Your attitude and level of productivity are impacted by the way you arrange your workspace.

A supportive environment encompasses more than just your physical surroundings; it also includes the people and influences in your immediate vicinity.  It can be more difficult to remain motivated and organised if you are surrounded by negativity, diversions, or bad habits.  Pay attention to the people and media you interact with.  Be in the company of positive people who support your goals and foster personal development.
