4. HAVING THE RIGHT MINDSET - Becoming Organised - Jack’s Empowerment and Inspiration - Empowering And Inspiring Generations - Ire kabiti

 4. HAVING THE RIGHT MINDSET

Being organised is an attitude, not merely a way of keeping things tidy.  While some people suffer with clutter, procrastination, or forgetfulness; others appear to be naturally organised.  The good news is that anyone can learn to be more organised.  It begins with changing your perspective on duties, time, and tasks.  Organising becomes a habit rather than a challenge if you educate your mind to prioritise, plan, and establish structure.

Learning to prioritise is an important component of having an organised attitude.  Because they try to do everything at once or concentrate on things that aren’t really important, many people experience feelings of overload. Instead of responding to every situation as it arises, stand back and determine what is most important.

Creating processes that work for you is another aspect of cultivating an organised attitude.  While some people function best with tangible lists or notebooks, others prefer digital organisation.  Finding a method that works for your lifestyle and sticking with it are crucial.  Over time, little routines like putting things back where they belong, making reminders, or dividing heavy tasks into manageable chunks can have a big impact.  Organisation stops feeling like a chore and instead becomes a natural aspect of your everyday routine.

Being flawless is not the goal of organisation.  Life is unpredictable, and even the best organised people confront unforeseen obstacles. The difference is that they have systems in place that enable them to rapidly retake control.  You can empower yourself to manage chores more skilfully, by changing your perspective to view organisation as a tool for lowering stress and increasing efficiency.  These little adjustments build up over time to help you feel more in charge, stay on top of your obligations, and lead a more balanced and effective life.

By being organised, you put in a little additional initial effort, and save yourself a lot of stress, headache and pain in the long run. You also end up being more efficient, by getting more result from less effort.
